I have known Dennis Stacy since the mid 70’s when we were all a lot younger back then. Haven’t had much contact with him for many years, then one day back in 2011, I got a text asking me a question about carrying a firearm. Told him about ALOC, Alabama Open Carry, which was a group I was a member of. Well low and behold he came to a meeting and found out Eddie Fulmer was running it.
It is funny how life brings friend back together. Eddie, Dennis and I all worked at the same place back in the late 70’s and into the 80’s, now we were all back together.
Once Dennis had learned about his rights and how they had gotten to where they are now, he was like a train heading down the track, nothing was stopping him until he helped get our right restored. Dennis was one of the founding members of BamaCarry which is the group that was formed from members of the old ALOC.
Dennis was always the class clown and you were bound to have a blast with him regardless of what you were doing, but the serious side of him had been born with his passion for Gun Rights here in Alabama. He was the voice of reason when others let their emotions get in the way of the mission.
Like I said Dennis was like a train heading down the tracks and nothing was stopping him, until cancer took him from us in December of 2017, but his voice still rings the truth and he is looking down on us making sure we are held to the mission of getting our rights restored here in Alabama.
